Britney Spears has once again taken to social media with a rant, this time about her ‘fake friends’ criticising her looks.

The 00s popstar is no stranger to an enthusiastic dance video, but on Tuesday, Spears, 43, posted a different kind of video on Instagram in which she hits out at people who have something to say about the way she looks.

The Toxic hitmaker was evidently responding to trolling on a previous post, in which she showed off her wavy hair and chipped manicure, that she posted a few days ago.

The singer monologues in the video for some time, repeating that she finds herself beautiful even if others do not.

She also said ‘fake’ people ‘who said they were my best friend’ are only changing up how they treat her because they are ‘so jealous’ of her.

She said that the people who posted ‘the incredibly sad comments that say that I look bad’are obviously dealing with their own issues, and said: ‘I feel so sorry for you guys.’

In the original video, the singer spoke with a faint but detectable British accent, confusing fans. In her most recent post she blamed this affectation on illness.

‘I thought my hair was beautiful and I do have a cold and it has affected my voice,’ she said.

Even more strangely, she said that she is not allowed into Mexico.

‘And I have been held back from going to Mexico for four months and since flying and traveling is the main thing for my health and well-being, I do have a small virus,’ she continued.

‘They will do anything to keep me from living my life and in my highest manner,’ she wrote. ‘I feel sorry for people like that.’

At the end, she concluded: ‘Hopefully we can all be kind to one another.’

The bizarre post comes after she raised eyebrows last month by confessing she’d burned down her bathroom.

Sharing on Instagram a video of her dancing in front of an open fireplace, she told fans: ‘I burned my bathroom down today, ran like a maniac back to the house because there was a pie in the oven.’

She continued to say she is ‘honestly tired of making sense of things these days’ and admitted she ‘dropped four sizes’ putting on her cheetah leotard as she hadn’t danced ‘in a long time’.

Britney paired the caption with a video of an erratic dance routine in which she wore black boots and a hat and could be seen strutting her stuff around the room, which was illuminated by a fire and a stray candle.

At multiple points, she could be seen slapping her derrière, along with other raunchy dance moves.

The popstar reportedly recently went through a breakup, splitting from ex-boyfriend Paul Soliz, 37, for a second time in February.
