Justin Bieber has addressed the claims that he is millions of dollars in debt as ‘clickbait stupidity’.
Concern for Bieber has been increasing in the past few months with his social media posts and his public appearances.
Just this week, the star made an appearance at Coachella with photos showing him with his trousers nearly around his ankles.
On April 16, it was claimed that Bieber was facing debts and was broke.
In a new statement to Us Weekly, Bieber’s team vehemently denied the allegations, claiming the sources were ‘ill-informed’.
‘This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed — and clearly ill-informed — “sources,” disappointed that they no longer work with Justin,’ the statement read.
‘As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.’
His team also told The Hollywood Reporter (THR): ‘Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial distress … either doesn’t understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality.’
THR reported that sources informed them that the singer was ‘more than $20 million’ in debt after failing to fulfil his contractual obligation to tour promoter AEG after cancelling The Justice tour.
The outlet added that sources informed them that Scooter Braun (who was Bieber’s manager at the time) covered what was owed in the form of a loan, and to date, Bieber has only returned a portion of what he borrowed.

The pandemic had delayed the start of the tour by two years, but eventually kicked off in February 2022.
In June, just four months after the tour began, the singer had to take weeks off as he was diagnosed with a rare facial paralysis disease called Type 2 Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
He told fans: ‘Obviously, as you can probably see with my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome and it is from this virus that attacks the nerves in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis.’
Justin added that it was ‘pretty serious’ and told fans: ‘Obviously my body is telling me I’ve got to slow down.’
In September 2022, Bieber officially postponed the tour and told fans in a statement: ‘After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be OK, but I need time to rest and get better.’
The tour was supposed to last until March 2023, but was officially announced in October 2022, that the tour was over.

Concern for Bieber has been increasing in the past few months with his social media posts and his public appearances.
Claiming that someone had accessed his account without his knowledge, he denied unfollowing his wife, Hailey Bieber, on Instagram and claimed he was hacked.
In March, he spoke openly about suffering with imposter syndrome and in another public post, sharing that he struggled with feeling ‘unworthy’.
In the same month, he admitted to sometimes feeling like he hated himself for changing certain aspects of his personality to ‘please people’.
Various rumours have emerged that the star is having problems in his relationship with his wife.
Earlier this month, Justin Bieber furiously lashed out at paparazzi, and a video from TMZ showed him shooting at paparazzi: ‘Get outta here, bro. Money, that’s all you want.
‘You don’t care about human beings,’ he said as he covered a photographer’s camera.
He added: ‘That’s all you care about, guys. Is money. You don’t care about people. Only money…You don’t care about human beings.’
